IN-HOUSE SENIOR LEGAL COUNSEL North Eastern Ontario Family and Children’s Services is seeking to fill the position of In-House Senior Counsel located in our Timmins office with occasional travel throughout the Cochrane and Timiskaming districts. Reporting to the Director of Child Welfare and Legal Services, the Senior Counsel is primarily responsible for the preparation and presentation of child protection cases under the Child and Family Services Act in court. We are seeking a candidate with proven litigation skills, superior dispute resolution techniques and the ability to work co-operatively with the agency staff and the local bar. Applicants must hold a post graduate degree in Law (L.L.B.), be licensed to practice law in Ontario, called to the Bar of the Province of Ontario, and be a member in good standing of the Law Society of Upper Canada. Valid Ontario Driver’s license and a vehicle are required. Bilinguism (English/French) is required. Salary is commensurable with qualifications and experience. Millwright - YD15-49 Reporting to the Plant Maintenance Supervisor you will be responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs associated with the 8000 tpd mill as well as hoisting plants and fixed underground equipment. Preference will be given to candidates with the following qualifications. •Must be a holder of Provincial Industrial Millwright Journeyman Trade Certificate License. •Minimum 5 yrs experience in maintaining gold milling plants •Minimum 5 yrs experience in maintaining stationary mine equipment including hoisting plants and crushers. Mobile Mechanic - YD15-50 Reporting to the Mobile Mechanical Supervisor or his/her designate the Mobile Mechanic will be responsible to diagnose, repair, maintain and overhaul mobile mining equipment. Preference will be given to candidates with the following qualifications. •Ability to diagnose, repairs, maintain and overhaul mobile mining equipment. •Minimum of 5 years mechanical experience in underground mining operations. •Preferred candidate will have Ontario or inter-provincial trade qualification. •Accredited in U/G common core modules. •Accreditation in specialty modules would be an asset Electrician - YD15-51 Reporting to the Chief Electrician or his/her designate the Mobile Mechanic will be responsible to diagnose, repair, maintain and overhaul mobile mining equipment. Preference will be given to candidates with the following qualifications. •Must be a holder of Provincial Electrician Journeyman Trade Certificate License. •Previous experience in trouble shooting electrical equipment and installations. •Knowledgeable in the interpretation of electrical schematics and prints. •Previous experience in the installation and maintenance of electrical equipment in mining operations would be an asset. Instrumentation Technician - YD15-52 Reporting to the Chief Electrician, the primary responsibilities will involve the installation, calibration, repair and maintenance of electronic process equipment. •Experience in the installation, calibration, repair and maintenance of electronic process equipment. •Completion of post-secondary education in instrumentation. •Previous experience in a gold milling environment would be an asset.
